My old job really sucked my soul out, and when I left it, there was no recovery time when starting the new job. In fact, due to some unforeseen circumstances I actually worked both jobs for several months until the old one finally wrapped up. Anyway, I started taking every mindfulness course I could find, basically every professional development class my new job offered and many through LinkedIn Learning. It was a way to achieve mental hygiene, for lack of a better term. I had some serious PTSD from the old job, and developed imposter syndrome at the new job. Did I really deserve having a job I liked after being so miserable in the previous toxic environment? I was headed for a crash and burn, the mindfulness classes really helped.
