Let’s absolutely call a moratorium on cursive. We all learned it in school, and we all haven’t used it since leaving school. But how will you sign your name on legal documents? Literally everything from the DMV, the bank, and court documents are handled digitally. I think we will be ok.
On that list of things I love about my kids being in virtual school is I can review their schoolwork and say “yes, this important, you need this” or “get through it, learn it for the test, you will never see it again in your life”. My favorite was “you’ll only need this if you have to hand write a check, and since I haven’t done that in about a decade, you likely never will”.
